Easy Fried Rice

Fried rice is a stable of takeout dinners but it is also a great way to use up leftovers in your fridge. It works really well as a side dish or even its own meal depending on how you feel.



  • 1 carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 2 rashers bacon ( optional)
  • 1/4 cup corn
  • 1/2 cup beans
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup cooked rice ( 1/3 uncooked rice)
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oil


  1. Boil the rice for 12 minutes
  2. Heat oil in the pan
  3. Mix egg and fry as an omelette.Flip and cook further
  4. Remove from pan
  5. Dice all vegetables and cook for 5 minutes
  6. Add cooked rice, mix well
  7. Stir in soy sauce
  8. Cut up omelette then add to rice
