Protein Energy Balls

These little treats have 4g of protein per ball and are full of good fats. They are good both before and after a workout or as a treat when you don’t want to have something too sweet.


  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 2 teaspoons cocoa
  • 1/4 cup coconut
  • 1/4 cup flax seeds
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • extra coconut to coat


  1. Blend almonds, oats, chia seeds, flax seed and coconut until it resembles a fine breadcrumb
  2. Add cocoa, peanut butter and maple syrup and blend until it comes together. Sometimes I need to add a bit more water to make it sticky enough
  3. Roll into small balls and coat in coconut
