Home made granola

You can buy pre-made granola’s and while some are very yummy they are usually so expensive! This is my way to make a granola which includes the ingredients which I want whilst saving some money. I love to have this with yoghurt and fruit in the morning. This can keep in a sealed container in the cupboard for 3 months.

  • 3 cups oats
  • 1/2 cup flax seeds
  • 1 cup chopped mixed nuts
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cups mixed dried fruit

  1. Preheat the oven to 180-degree Celcius
  2. Line a baking tray with baking tray
  3. In a large bowl mix oats, flax seeds, nuts and coconut
  4. In a jug mix vanilla, honey and oil
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients
  6. Pour mixture and spread out on the baking tray
  7. Bake for 25 minutes, stirring 2 or three times
  8. Add dried fruit to the pan and bake for another 5 minutes
  9. Allow the granola to cool in the pan
  10. Keep in the pantry for up to 3 months

Enjoy xx
