Brownie Bowls

Now brownies and ice-cream are an amazing dessert and the perfect accompaniment to any movie night or on any night for that reason. By turning them into a bowl themselves then the ice cream it doesn’t slide off the top. See perfect solution! Also Ice magic instantly transports me back to my childhood so is the cherry on top… so to speak


  • 250g butter
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4/ cups cocoa powder
  • 1 3/4 cup plain flour
  • 1/2 cup choc chips

To serve

  • Vanilla ice-cream
  • ice magic


  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter
  3. Once melted,  remove from the stove
  4. Add sugar and vanilla, stir to combine
  5. Add eggs one at a time stirring thoroughly after each addition
  6. Stir through cocoa powder, flour and choc chips
  7. Spoon mixture into an oiled muffin tin
  8. Bake for 30 minutes
  9. As soon as they are removed from the oven use the back of a spoon to gently press the middle to form a cup
  10. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and Ice magic
